This is good advice for almost every aspect of ones life. Its really amazing how focused one can get in relation to physical fitness, while at the same time being overly critical of ones self. If everyone could take a few moments here and there and truly LOOK at themselves, give themselves credit for what they have done, and hold themselves accountable for what they haven’t while structuring a game plan based off their true findings, it would make for a much more enjoyable lifestyle. I for one feel this is something everyone should do for themselves.

Thanks for the comments Lin! Yes – I like to show how fitness can relate to other areas of life and make such a positive impact. :)

  15. Natalie Rodriguez on January 20th, 2010 1:58 pm

My goal is to be one the success stories that you read in Oxygen magazine, and to control my night eating to lose my final 15 pounds. To be the woman I have always dreamed of being. Silly, I know.

  16. Laura Mak on January 20th, 2010 3:21 pm

    Hey Natalie!
Thanks so much for the comment! Well – you should set up some short term goals for you to reach you goal of being part of Oxygen magazine – and by the way – there is nothing silly about that!

Just keep reminding yourself each evening, that in (pick a number) X amount of weeks I am going to submit my photos and success story to Oxygen, and changing your eating pattern should be more of a fun game, than a feeling of deprivation.

Please keep me posted on your accomplishments!

    Smiles,
    Laura Mak :)

Very nice and informative article, let me share my fitness experience with dear readers. I used to be very fit and athlete, but with the passage of time I became lazy and developed a habit of eating and sleeping along with no exercise. Which deposited around 25 – 30 Kilo of fat into my stomach, face, legs and all over my body? Everyday when I looked in the mirror I had thought today I will start exercising, which was clearly a false promising to myself, again with the passage of time I realized now enough is enough I have to do something to get rid of this fat. So I stepped on to the thread mill and started running 40 Minutes everyday at 9 Miles per hour. Right after finishing a marathon every day I then take the free weight and start building my shoulders and biceps, chest and etc. 3 Days continues exercise and 2 days rest which continued over the period of 3 months and I have now lost 22 Kilo of fat and I have started to look young and energetic once again. I recommend everyone who is facing the same symptoms of fatness try to get fit, it is really easy and not difficult at all. Thank you

    Hey Laura,
A great booty workout! Thanks, I’ll definitely try these out during my next legs workout. Since I don’t need more muscle on my thighs, should I skip the squats and leg press?

  31. Laura Mak on June 17th, 2010 9:37 am

    Hey Kandy!!
Glad you liked the article. Yes – keep coming back to http://www.LauraMakBlog.com for more fun and effective workouts!

  32. Laura Mak on June 17th, 2010 9:39 am

    Hey Kathleen!
Great to read from you!! Hope all is going well for you! I wouldn’t skip the squats and leg press but I would use less weight on the squats and increase your repetitions. For the leg press, decrease the weight and just do one leg. This is very effective for those “Gorgeous Glutes!!”

Give me some more feedback after you try this work out a few times!! :)

Will have new ones coming soon too!
    Smiles,
    Mak :)
